Social-Media-OptimizationYou might think the message starting from “Hey, you there” on Facebook must be coming from an old friend, but rather, it’s an advertising technique being used by Staples, advertising a sale. Approximately two weeks before, Staples let its Twitter followers and Facebook fans have a sneak preview at its Black Friday Deals. Staples spokesperson Amy Shandler said that this is the first time they are advertising their deals on social networking sites, during the holidays. It's a two-way dialogue.” Holidays are an important season for shopping and other chains such as Best Buy, J.C. Penny, Toys R Us, Sears and Home Depot are [Read More...]

gerard-butlerProbably not. The famous 300 actor was quoted as saying that he feels under branded and wants to launch his own fragrance to feel more competitive with other celebrities. However, Buttler is known for his tongue in cheek humor and is more than likely making light of the situation of celebrity perfumes.

Interestingly though a Gerard Butler branded cologne would probably sell quite well, so before dismissing the idea out of hand Butler may wish to give the idea a serious shake.

The unsuspecting five year old girl pushed an unmarked button on a perfume dispensing machine to disastrous results. After receiving a full blast of perfume to the face the girl ran to her mother for help.

Currently the young child is recovering with the help of a strong steroid cream to help treat the now hyper sensitized skin around her eyes and is expected to make a full recovery. There is no news at this point regarding any lawsuits between the child’s family and the department store.
