Social networking sites are again to blame. Gang members use them as a tool to comment against their rival groups and to arrange fights.

According to the New York Daily’s news report, the shooting that took place last month in Lenox Ave, New York, hurting a boy in his leg, might have been the part of the unending fight, between the Harlem gang Original Young Gangsters and their rivals. With the increasing popularity of Twitter, even young thugs are becoming Twitter fans.

Approximately two weeks before, Staples let its Twitter followers and Facebook fans have a sneak preview at its Black Friday Deals. Staples spokesperson Amy Shandler said that this is the first time they are advertising their deals on social networking sites, during the holidays. Social Media Goes Advertising Way

Many cases have been reported with minor attacks on ‘ginger’ kids as Facebook’s group has proclaimed today to be “Kick a Ginger Day”. Although nobody has been seriously injured and no arrests have been made. The “Kick a Ginger Day” Facebook group has been inspired by an episode in South Park where the lead character, Eric Cartman tried to kill ginger kids. A young British girl learned the hard way that perfume in the eye is not a good idea. The unsuspecting five year old girl pushed an unmarked button on a perfume dispensing machine to disastrous results. After receiving a full blast of perfume to the face the girl ran to her mother for help.

Currently the young child is recovering with the help of a strong steroid cream to help treat the now hyper sensitized skin around her eyes and is expected to make a full recovery. There is no news at this point regarding any lawsuits between the child’s family and the department store.

YouTube is going to add captions in its videos. Although caption-adding feature is already there on YouTube, but not many video makers use it.

So Google’s software engineer Ken Harrentstien , who is hearing impaired, came with the idea of machine generated captions.

These machine-generated captions would be generated in English, at the outset. Initially, they would be available on only 13 channels. These include National Geographic, Columbia as well as most Google and YouTube channels.
